who we are
Camp Lifting Leaves is a partner project of the Ten Oaks Project and the child welfare agencies across Ontario. We have seen a growing need for connection and community building amongst children and youth from 2SLGBTQ+ communities who are in and out of care, and are thrilled to offer a camp just for them! The activities and programming offered at Camp Lifting Leaves will be similar to our other camp programs. 2021 Camp Lifting Leaves will be virtual only.
who can attend?
Camp Lifting Leaves is for children and youth from 2SLBGTQ+ identities, families, and communities who are at least 12 years old and have an active file with an Indigenous wellbeing or child welfare agency. Children and youth involved with Ontario child welfare agencies are welcome to attend. Each agency who has children and youth attending camp must provide one CAS staff member/volunteer on-call each day of Camp Lifting Leaves in case a camper has support needs the Ten Oaks Project staff running activities cannot meet.
