Here is some basic information you need to know about Camp Lifting Leaves.
Camp Lifting Leaves 2021 will be held in-person from October 15-18, and online from November 5-7, on Zoom.
At most, the in-person program will cost $950/camper, but we are attempting to reduce
fees, and virtually programming will be significantly less expensive that in-person
The fee covers the costs of supplies (which we will mail to the child welfare agency for distribution to campers before camp) as well as honouraria for volunteers leading activities.
An invoice will be sent to the worker listed in the application. It can be paid online with a credit card, or a cheque can be mailed to the Ten Oaks Project at 9004-400 Cooper Street, Ottawa, ON, K2P 2H8. All invoices are due within 30 days of receipt. The child welfare agency each youth in care is involved with can access funding to cover the fee from OCBe; there are other sources of funding for those out of care, such as agency foundations or Admission Prevention.
refund and cancellation policy
All cancellations or refund requests must be submitted to the Ten Oaks Project in writing by email or mail. Refunds for camp fees will be made less a $30 processing fee.
- 100% of the camp fee is refundable until September 1.
- 50% of the camp fee is refundable until September 15.
- 20% of the camp fee is refundable until October 1.
No refunds will be issued after October 1, except in exceptional circumstances.
No refunds are issued if a camper is required to leave camp early for medical reasons or is asked to leave the camp program for behavioural reasons.
