volunteer at project acorn
Project Acorn is guided by a Leadership Team, developed and delivered by a Youth Advisory Committee, and supported by Roots of Our Communities (ROC) volunteers. All volunteers go through an application, interview, reference check, and police reference check process.
The Ten Oaks Project is committed to implementing a racially and ethnically diverse, anti-ageist, gender-varied, economically-mixed and multi-abled staff team of people from 2SLGBTQ+ identities, families and communities. We encourage self-identification on your cover letter, and will be prioritizing BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of colour); and as well as transwomen, transfeminine folks, and women with trans histories.
The Ten Oaks Project office (where YAC meetings will be held) and the Project Acorn site are physically accessible for those using mobility devices. Please feel free to contact us with specific questions about accessibility.
