Camp Photos Now Online

If you've ever wanted to see what our summers look like in images, we've now posted photo galleries from 2007, 2006 and 2005 on the Camp Ten Oaks website.

Our Camp Director is a Community Builder

Our recent Annual General Meeting was interrupted by Karen Soloman and a TV crew from A Channel.  They were looking to give a Community Builder Award to Julia Alarie, our Camp Director.  We're hoping to get footage from the event and will let you know when we have it.

Community Builder Awards are given out by the United Way
to acknowledge people who make a difference in the lives of others in our community - through volunteering, giving of their time and support to others, and helping us to build a stronger community.

Congratulations, Julia!

Bowl-A-Thon 2008
Bruce House at the Bowl-A-Thon
Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Camp Bowl-A-Thon!  This annual fundraiser extraordinaire returns on March 1, 2008 to raise funds for our summer camp program, Camp Ten Oaks.  This year the event is moving to a larger location, the McArthur Bowling Lanes, where all bowlers can lace up their shoes and get their bowl on at the same time from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. That means we can double the crowd, double the energy and double the fun!

Team registration will open in January 2008.

Is Volunteering Up Your Alley?

Event planning and preparations are already underway for this bowl-eriffic event. If volunteering is right up your alley, and you want to meet new people while having fun, then join the 4th Annual Camp Bowl-A-Thon volunteer team.  We're looking for assistance with promotions, prize solicitation and running the event itself.  Contact Andrea Poncia at andrea@tenoaksproject.org to get involved.
