Camp Ten Oaks

Camp Ten Oaks is a one-week, sleep-away camp for children and youth ages 8-17. The camp environment, and programming, is designed to address the unique situations of children and youth with LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, queer) and/or non-traditional family structures, LGBTQ youth and their allies.

Empowerment Through Play

Camp Ten Oaks offers an exceptional mixture of recreational (sports and aquatics), artistic (arts, crafts, dance and drama), outdoor (canoeing, campouts and hiking) and social justice (ableism, globalization, bullying) programming.

The activities and programming at Camp Ten Oaks are designed to empower campers through play that enhances self-esteem, life skills, independence, leadership and self-confidence.

Economic Accessibility

Our program is offered to campers and families on a pay-what-you-can, sliding scale fee.

Camp Ten Oaks first opened its doors in August 2005 and was attended by 22 campers. Camp Ten Oaks also happens to be the first, and only, summer camp of its kind in Canada.
