Larisa has eight years of experience working in a non-profit environment. She has worked in the capacity of wilderness guide and instructor for organizations like Boundless Adventures, Outward Bound Canada, and the Kinark Child and Family Services Outdoor Centre since 1998. Larisa is a Moving Water and Canoe Tripping Instructor for the Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association. She is currently Chair for the Canadian Women’s Wilderness Network.

Larisa holds a Bachelor of Music in Education (University of Toronto, 1997) and a Master’s of Social Work (Carleton University, 2005). She is currently working in the field of community development in Ottawa. Larisa has organizing experience at the national and local level, and has extensive experience facilitating for groups with varied backgrounds and abilities. She applies a relationship and solution focused approach to advocacy, which informs her work with members of the LGBTTQ community.
