Assistant Camp
aimee@tenoaksproject.org

Aimee comes to Ten Oaks with a Bachelor of Arts Sociology (Dalhousie University, 1999) and over a decade of camping experience. She began attending Camp Gay Venture when she was 12 years old and immediately fell in love with camp and all that it encompasses. She continued to attend Gay Venture every summer as a camper and eventually was a Section Head for 15-year-old girls.

Aimee’s desire to help people led her to the Muki Baum Association, a not-for-profit organization for children and adults with complex disabilities. As a residential Supervisor, part of Aimee’s responsibilities included the training and hiring of staff. In her current job as the Director of Operations at Camp Oochigeas, a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that provides camping experiences for kids with cancer and kids affected by childhood cancer, Aimee has gained experience in managing logistics, developing policies and procedures, contract management and the screening and hiring of camp staff.
