Camp Ten Oaks a week-long sleep-away camp for children and youth ages 8-17 from 2SLGBTQ+ identities, families, and communities. The program first opened its doors in August 2005. It runs for two sessions each summer, welcoming nearly 200 campers.
Project Acorn is a radical community-building camp for youth aged 16-24 from 2SLGBTQ+ identities, families, and communities. For four days, Project Acorn brings together youth and those in solidarity with youth and creates a safer, empowering, and liberating space, where people can share knowledge, make connections, and build bridges.
Oak Grove Family Camp is a weekend long, sleep-away camp for 2SLGBTQ+ families (parents and/or children are 2SLGBTQ+) who have a child or youth aged 17 or under in their care. Oak Grove Family camp was planned and held for the first time in 2017 after much demand from our communities.
Camp Lifting Leaves is a partner project of the Ten Oaks Project and child welfare agencies across Ontario. We have seen a growing need for connection and community building amongst children and youth ages 8-21 from 2SLGBTQ+ communities who are in and out of care, and are thrilled to offer a camp just for them!
